Vestibular migraine
Vestibular migraine is a type of migraine that may or may not include headache, and causes other debilitating symptoms affecting the hearing, vision and balance. These symptoms may include:
Typical migraine symptoms such as a severe throbbing one-sided headache
Vertigo, imbalance
Nausea and/or vomiting
Sensitivity to light, sound, noise and/or motion
Tinnitus
Aural fullness
Vestibular migraine is not fully understood, but it is thought to be caused by overlapping neural pathways responsible for delivering information from the vestibular system and pain regulation.
