Neuritis

Vestibular neuritis is inflammation of the vestibular nerve. It often presents as sudden onset, severe and prolonged vertigo, often accompanied with nausea and vomiting and followed by imbalance and unsteadiness. The most common cause of neuritis is a viral infection.
