The following appeared in the winter/spring edition of Cicada Buzz, a publication by CICADA Australia Inc, a registered charity and volunteer organization dedicated to supporting hearing-impaired Australians who use cochlear implants.

Celene is an audiologist and the director of Healthy Hearing and Balance Care and independent audiology clinic in Bondi Junction, Sydney www.healthyhearing.com.au
Celene qualified as a speech pathologist and audiologist in Brazil before emigrating to Australia where she obtained a Masters of Audiology and a PhD in Meniere’s disease at Macquarie University.
Celene has been working as an audiologist in Australia for over 30 years and presented on the progression of hearing loss in Meniere’s disease, clinical results with Cochlear implants and bimodal fittings,
Professor Jose Antonio Lopez-Escamez from Spain, who is currently doing research on the Inheritance of Meniere’s Disease in Australia at Sydney University, was also in the audience.
